Well, amazingly it worked. We now have 3 of these chairs we made and they work out wonderfully! The young children not yet able to sit by themselves in a chair are able to join in during meals and snacks with the rest of us.

Larry then cut the chair legs where he had marked them needing to be cut. We placed the little gripper pieced that were on the bottom of the original high chair legs onto the bottom of the new legs and....

The chairs also stack nicely when they are not in use.
